I would love to be a fly in the wall just to see how they create a scene in the editing room. Even if they want to go for something stylistic. It's clear they have a style that is their own and always know when to cut and when not to cut. Mentioning a lot about the cutting I think is important as I think there should be some documentary about Scorsese's collaboration with Thelma Schoonmaker. Immediately as I was scrolling down slowly in the frame, I was thinking "Did Robert Richardson shot this?" and I realized how right I was as I'm so familiar with his work in photography. I remember Ben Wheatley stating that this film along with Goodfellas and The Wolf of Wall Street is part of thematic trilogy of decadent lifestyles.
